Frequently Asked Questions
A doula is a trained companion who provides continuous physical comfort, emotional encouragement, and evidence-based education to birthing families. Doulas do not perform clinical exams, give medical diagnoses, prescribe medications, or deliver babies. We complement your OB/GYN or midwife by focusing entirely on your comfort and emotional well-being.
